Scouts go for world record at Chicago Toy and Game Fair

The Chicago Toy and Game Fair will play host to a world record attempt this November. the record? The most people playing a card game at one time.
With the current record held by 2,292 people who turned out to play a game called Mus Mus in Spain back in 2010, the Girl Scouts have their work cut out for them. Then again, these are the Girl Scouts of America- an if anybody's going to break that record, it's going to be them.
Calling all Girl Scouts. Just when you thought you had sampled all of your favorites, the Chicago Toy and Game Group (ChiTAG) is proud to announce they will add another "sweet spot" in addition to all other events at the Chicago Toy & Game Fair, to be held on November 17 and 18 at Navy Pier. The Girl Scouts of America and Top Trumps at ChiTAG will attempt to set the Guinness World Record for "Most People Playing a Card Game Simultaneously in the Same City."

The current record was set in 2010 while 2,292 people played the popular Spanish card game, Mus. Mus in El Correo, Spain. The Girl Scouts card game of choice will be Top Trumps. "ChiTAG is flattered that Top Trumps and the Girl Scouts have chosen our venue to host this record setting event," said Mary Couzin, President and Founder of Chicago Toy and Game Group. "ChiTAG has great respect for Top Trumps and how the Girl Scouts contribute to their communities all year around, all over the world." The game is scheduled for November 17 at 3p.
Of course, it wouldn't be a Scout event without a patch being on the line- and there's a very exclusive and limited one available for kids attending this world record attempt. The 'Top Trumps Moshi Monsters Participation' patch will go to each Girl Scout who takes part in the record try. Now that's one to brag about!
"Top Trumps is privileged to be sponsoring the Girl Scouts of America this season," said Catherine McMillen-Gill, Top Trumps Senior Vice-President of Sales & Marketing. "ChiTAG has always been such an inspirational event for Top Trumps and I'm hoping that the 90,000 girl scouts that we've reached will celebrate with us at both the Cookie Classic (September 8, Grant Park) and this fall at ChiTAG."
See you on November 17th at 3pm!
