Spike TV's E3 coverage is serious

Serious as in 17 freakin' hours of coverage spread across the web and the channel itself.

And just to whet your gaming news appetite, the network has just released a short rundown of just some of the stuff that you can expect to see from the biggest videogame event of the year.

Some of the top gaming news and interviews debuting throughout the network’s live special include: ·         Exclusive broadcast rights to air the biggest video game press events at E3 including “Xbox: Entertainment Evolved,” “The Download: EA 2012 Preview,” and “Nintendo All Access Presentation @ E3.”
 ·         Exclusive, never-before-seen footage from “Halo 4,” the Next “Star Wars” Game,  “NBA 2K13,” “Resident Evil 6,” “Assassin’s Creed 3,” “PlayStation All-Stars: Battle Royale,” “Borderlands 2,” “Tomb Raider,” “Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance,” “The Elder Scrolls V - Skyrim: Dawnguard,” “Medal Of Honor: Warfighter,” “Dishonored,” “Transformers: Fall Of Cybertron,” “God Of War: Ascension,” “Unreal Engine 4,” “Aliens: Colonial Marines,” “Devil May Cry,” “Forza Horizon,” “X-Com: Enemy Unknown,” “Simcity,” “Crysis 3,” “Lost Planet 3” and much more. ·         One-on-One interviews with Nintendo of America’s President, Reggie Fils-Aime; Microsoft Studios’ Corporate Vice President, Phil Spencer; Microsoft’s Interactive Entertainment Business President, Don Mattrick; Sony Computer Entertainment of America’s President and CEO, Jack Tretton; EA’s Chief Operating Officer, Peter Moore; Activision’s CEO, Eric Hirschberg; CEO of Ubisoft, Yves Guillemot; former Dallas Cowboys’ Wide Receiver, Michael Irvin; actor Kevin Smith; NASCAR Driver, Danica Patrick; MMA Fighter, Michael Chandler and other surprise guests.
 ·         Renowned industry insiders to provide additional gaming insights and commentary featuring legendary video game designer, Sir Peter Molyneux, video game analyst, Michael Pachter and industry veteran, Adam Sessler.
Spike TV and GameTrailers will also treat fans to a pre-E3 episode of “GTTV with Geoff Keighley,” airing tomorrow, May 31 at 1:00am ET/10:00pm PT, which will offer a first look into select elements from Konami’s “Pre-E3 show,” featuring “Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance” as well as exclusive footage of Square Enix’s “Tomb Raider,” Bethesda’s “Dishonored” and other anticipated titles to be announced.
It's really cool to see the public getting this much coverage of E3. In the end, much like film and comic books, it's an industry for and of the fans. It's such a huge plus to see the veil lifted so everybody can see what's new and shiny. Hopefully more networks will start paying attention to what's fast becoming the nation's (if not the world's) entertainment medium of choice.
