Transformers Prime Weekend Sneak Peek

Assassins make an attempt on Megatron's life in this weekend's episode of Transformers Prime on The Hub. And we've got an exclusive advance look at some nasty little Insecticons after the break.

Prime is easily the most 'Generation 1' friendly of the recent decade's offering of shows... actually, it's probably the most G1 friendly of any of the various attempts at the source material since the first cartoon aired way back in the 'me' decade.

As a big time fan of those original robots in disguise, I'm constantly (and pleasently) surprised by the show and it's different but still pretty faithful take on the Autobots and Decepticons that longtime fans grew up with. The newest episode, titled 'Armada' sees some Decepticon action onboard the 'Cons warship.

If you have yet to check Transformers Prime out, you might want to do yourself a favor and tune in. No, it isn't the same as Generation 1, there are some pretty big differences, but it's definitely still worth your time. Most of the characters that are franchise staples are present and accounted for and the new ones are all very fitting for the property. It's cool stuff, trust me and check it out.

And Starscream's still awesome.
