Interview with the Sculptor: Marvel Select Venom's Jean St. Jean

The toy collecting community was thrown for a loop recently when Diamond Select Toys unveiled their upcoming Marvel Select figure of popular Spider-Man foe Venom. Instead of a decorative display base -- a common accessory to most standard-sized Select figures -- the early 2013 figure will come with a variety of interchangeable parts to re-create several of the anti-hero's more popular looks over the years.

Diamond Select Toys has been making Marvel Selects for ten years. I almost can't believe that- to me it seems like only a few years ago that they made those awesome Spider-Man and Punisher figures. Nevertheless though, a decade it has been and the company is celebrating by giving one very lucky winner a treasure trove of toys picked right from their home offices.

The Iguana Revealed for Amazing Spider-Man

I have to confess, even as a pretty big comic book fan, I had no idea who the Iguana was when I first read this release. Apparently developer Beenox knew him though, as their Amazing Spider-Man movie adaptation sees the scaly baddie crawling all over Manhattan.

New Amazing Spider-Man Trailer Debuts

You know, I have to admit that I had a lot of doubts about the new 're-boot that isn't a re-boot' Spidey flick- The Amazing Spider-Man. Despite the excellent title, there really wasn't anything else that appealed to me about the movie.
