PSN Update -- 'e3' edition

Loads of updates from the show floor this week as well as some nice little sale prices on the Tom Clancy games. Nothing in the way of fresh content but with all that free stuff we got in the Welcome Back package last week, we can forgive 'em! Right?

PSN Update -- 'Red Johnson' edition

Really... Red Johnson... we're not making this up. You play as a PI named Red Johnson. And apparently being a private dick (*ahem) is tough in Metropolis, the crime capital of the world. How it's that filthy with bad guys is a mystery- Superman on vacation or something?

Other than that... awkwardly named title (which is available to PSPlus subscribers only), the PSN plays host to PSOne Classics Dino Crisis 2 and Threads of Fate, Sonic the Hedgehog 2, Arcania Heart 3, and a bunch of sales and other assorted digital sundries.

...Red Johnson!

PSN Update -- 'Is it a Bulletstorm or a Killzone?' edition

Which ever recently released FPS is your fave, the PSN hold a map pack for you this week. There's also the (finally available) Shadow Mode for Marvel vs Capcom 3, some great new downloadables with Dungeon Hunter: Alliance and Might & Magic Clash of Heroes, and maybe the greatest piece of DLC ever- hailing from Memphis, Tennessee... The Honky Tonk Man comes to WWE All Stars! And he's free!

PSN Update -- 'Battlegrounds' Edition

As in Red Faction: Battlegrounds- The long running series of first/third person action games becomes a downloadable multiplayer blastathon in it's latest incarnation. This little appetizer for (the soon to be available) Red Faction: Armageddon should more than hold fans over until that full fledged sequel drops.

As for as other releases, this is actually a pretty slim week on the network. The SOCOM 4 demo is out- but as far as anything else that's interesting, that's it really. Disappointing since PSN updates have been really good as of late.

Get back on the stick Sony!

PSN Update -- 'Bustin Makes Me Feel Good' edition

Ghostbusters: Sanctum of Slime headlines a nice update for Playstation owners this week- There are some solid demos like WWE All Stars and You Don't Know Jack, a PSOne Classic with the release of Legend of Mana, and even some quality DLC in the form of Castlevania: Reverie.

PSN Update -- 'Slam Bolt Uprising' edition

Slam Bolt Scrappers and Hard Corps: Uprising (Contra) headline this weeks PSN offerings- but there's plenty more to like if they're not your cup of tea.

Playstation Move Heroes, Crysis 2, and Mortal Kombat all get the demo treatment and the PSOne Classic Parasite Eve is released just in time for it's Third Birthday. And to top things off, there are some very nice premium themes to be had- if you like the MLB.

PSN Update -- 'Dragon DaVinci' edition

There's a lot to like this week on the PSN, not the least of which are the two pieces of DLC listed in the title- Dragon Age 2 and Assassins Creed Brotherhood. DA adds The Black Emporium & The Exiled Prince, while Ezio tries to track down a missing Leonardo in Davinci Disappearance.

But that's far from all there is- There's an explosion of Disney PSOne classics this week (8 of them! Maybe not 8 of them that you'd want but still) as well as Ridge Racer 4 and some very nice add-ons and sale items for various titles.

PSN Update -- 'Severed Vagrant' edition

The classic PSOne RPG Vagrant Story makes it's debut this week on the download service- that's one that a lot of folks have been waiting for. We also get the first single player expansion for Dead Space 2- Severed.

It's also a pretty nice week to be a PS Plus subscriber as ModNation Racers is a full game trial and both Sonic the Hedgehog & Spyro the Dragon are freebies. Good stuff-

PSN Update -- 'JRPG' edition

Two big RPG classics land on the PSN this week as Xenogears (PSOne Classics) and Y's I&II (PSP) land on the service. But that's not all! There's a lot to like this week as we also get the Dragon Age 2, MLB The Show, and LEGO Star Wars III demos. On top of that, the Killzone Retro map pack is also available!

There's Space Ace too... don't know how much interest there is in that one...

PSN Update -- 'Back... to the Future!' edition

Doc and Marty make up the biggest release this week on the PSN. Back to the Future episode 1 (of 5) is finally up after being out on the PC for a while now. You can download the game for free as a demo or as part of a $19.99 season pass which nets you all 5 episodes of BttF.

If you're a big fan of the series, the pack seems more than worth it-

Also this week, we get a few PSOne classics (that you've more than likely never heard of) and Tactics Ogre appears as a downloadable for the PSP.

PSN Update -- 'Stacking Killzone' edition

Lots to see and buy this week on the old PSN- first and foremost is the (PSPlus only) Killzone 3 single player demo, then it's the Russian doll spectacle that is Stacking, three (three!) PSOne classics, Plants vs Zombies,  and a load of DLC add-ons.

In addition to all that there's also an App called Filmy that allows you to view AVCHD video files.

Big week.

PSN Update -- 'Bionic' Edition

Rad Spencer returns to action this week in Bionic Commando: Rearmed 2, but the robot madness doesn't stop there! We also get the 'PSOne Import Classic' that absolutely nobody associates with the PSOne- Mega Man 2.

Why not!

Also in the cards- Plus subscribers get Assassins Creed 2 Deluxe Edition and Pac Man CE makes it over to Mini land.

PSN Update: '11 for 11' edition

If you're looking for new content, you might be just a tad disappointed- all there really is this week is Dead Space Extraction and the Bulletstorm demo. But to cheer your hardened heart, there are a good chunk of sales going on with Sony's '11 for 11' deal. Surely that must count for something... right?

PSN Update -- 'Mega Man is a PSOne Classic?' edition

Apparently, in Japan, Mega Man is a PSOne game- it joined the lineup of PSOne imports this week. Also on tap- that update to the Neo Geo storefront we posted up earlier, and Mass Effect 2 as a downloadable.

ME2 has all the dlc you could want this week too-

PSN Update -- 'Puny' Edition

This week's PSN update is, how shall we put it? Underdeveloped.

There are quite a few things on sale, so if you count that as content... oh- there's Prinny 2 for the PSP... aaaaaand... nope, that's about it.

PSN Update -- 'Angry Tetris ReLoaded' edition

Some great stuff kicks off 2011 on the old PSN- even some PSOne classics!

We get not only a PSN exclusive version of Tetris (1080p tetrads!), but also the A-Number-One portable game of the year- Angry Birds. Aaand if that ain't enough, the PSOne classics ReLoaded and Arc the Lad III drop in too!

Is it all a dream?
