It looks like the rumors of Microsoft discontinuing the 'standard' Xbox Pro Bundle were true.
According to Edge, Argos (a UK retailer) is no longer taking orders for the Pro SKU and are telliing their shoppers that Microsoft is no longer producing that specific model.
It remains to be seen if MS will indeed lower the price of the Elite SKU to the level of the Pro but it's probable at this point. This is a very smart move on MS end - providing an Elite at the price of a Pro while still keeping the base Arcade price point, should really move some machines. Of course, this would really look smart if Sony does release the long rumored PS3 Slim for the holidays.
Either way - advantage consumer.
