A very special PSN holiday update...

A very nice PSN update bashes us all to pieces this week and reminds us to spend lots and lots of PSN dolla's over the Christmas break this week.

Wing Commander IV (PSOne classic) is now available as well as the MGS Peace Walker demo. A bunch of games are on sale too so check it out after the you know what.

Sack, sack, sack...

The PSN has a bunch of new Little Big Planet content up for your mandatory infusion of sack.

There are some new LBP avatars for your perusal as well as the Pirates of the Caribbean level pack that intro's the 'water' gameplay element that went up last week. Oh, and just a little tip: LBP is a great game in either flavor (PS3 or PSP). Makes a good solid last second gift if you're in need. But you finished all of your Christmas shopping already... right?

There’s always that one know-it-all in every family, so challenge Aunt Connie or Cousin Johnny to a special Holiday trivia showdown. Tune into a special “1 vs 100 Live” Holiday episode on December 26 at 6:00 pm PT which will feature Holiday-themed trivia, a decked out set, and laughs with Chris Cashman. Didn’t get an Xbox LIVE Gold membership in your stocking this year? No problem. From December 24, 9:00 am PT – December 28, 9:00 am PT, Xbox LIVE Silver members in the US, Canada, UK, Ireland, France and Germany can enjoy the “1 vs 100” premium entertainment experience reserved exclusively for Gold members. If you enjoy making your Avatar bust a move, you can also cast a vote for your favorite dance in the “1 vs 100” Dance Contest (www.avatardancecontest.com) from now until December 26. The winner will be notified on January 4, and have their moves immortalized as an Avatar dance in “1 vs 100.” And, to ring in 2010, tune into another special “1 vs 100 Live” episode on January 1 at 7:00 pm PT, which will test your knowledge of the New Year.

Gamestop is returning your money! No really...

If you're looking for a little extra dough to spend on yourself this holiday season, you might want to check out this website.

What you'll find is a form to fill out that will get you back any unused deposits that you might have left on games that you neglected to pick up in the form of a printable giftcard. The idea is that Gamestop is supposed to call you (Ms. Computer-voice that is) to let you know that you have these unused deposits and that you should head over to the site linked above.

With that said, I would encourage anyone who has preordered regularly at Gamestop to try their luck with the form even if you didn't get a phone call. In my own experience, I had to use a cell phone number that I don't have any more to get my cash back- it was a great surprise too- turned out to be $20.00!
